Use Weather Station Data to check the selected station’s connection, stored observations, summaries, missing-data state, and database files.
- Select the station you want to inspect.
- Open Weather Station Data:
- On iPhone or iPad, choose Settings > Data. In compact layouts, you can also open Station and tap Data in the toolbar. In a regular-width iPad layout, show the Inspector and choose Data.
- On Mac, choose Inspectors > Data. If the Inspector is hidden, choose Inspectors > Show Inspector first.
- Open a section to see its details:
- [Connection service] API shows connection status, request cadence, historical-download availability, and applicable request limits.
- Real Time shows when the current snapshot was generated, its date range, observation count, and available metrics.
- Historical shows the last sync, stored date range, observation and summary counts, available metrics, and missing observations.
- Database shows the database file name, database size, and write-ahead log size. On Mac, click the file name to reveal the station database package in Finder.
The counts and ranges summarize stored data. To inspect individual observation rows on regular-width iPad or Mac, open Observations and follow Inspect observations. On iPhone and compact iPad layouts, use Historical Observation Data for the selected period.
