Station map
Find saved station locations, public-network stations, and aviation-weather sources available on the station map.
Marker sources
| Source | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Saved stations | Shows visible configured stations that have valid coordinates |
| Netatmo Network | Shows discoverable Netatmo public-network observations |
| Windy Stations | Shows Windy public-station candidates |
| Weather Underground | Shows Weather Underground public-station candidates |
| METAR | Shows current aviation observations from the METAR cache |
Marker-source visibility is stored on the current device. Turning a source off hides its markers and preserves configured stations.
Map controls
- Search for a place or use the current-location control to move the map.
- Use Station Sources to show or hide My Stations, Netatmo Network, Windy Stations, Weather Underground, and METAR Stations when available.
- Change the public-network marker metric to compare compatible station values.
- Change the base Map Style.
- Select a marker to inspect station identity, location, provider, observation age, and available current values.
Saved station markers can be opened as the active station. Eligible Windy and Weather Underground public markers can be added after their provider credentials are configured. Netatmo Network and METAR observations remain discovery data, separate from personal station databases.
On regular-width iPad and macOS, Map is a main app view. On iPhone, open the map from the station picker or a Station Map card when those entry points are available.
A saved station requires valid coordinates before its marker can appear. Updating station coordinates can therefore change map availability while preserving its provider data.
