Connect Davis WeatherLink
Connect Davis WeatherLink
Use Davis WeatherLink for a Davis station that uploads observations to WeatherLink Cloud. Setup requires the station’s API Key v2 and API Secret.
Common compatible hardware includes Davis Vantage Vue, Vantage Pro2, Vantage Pro2 Plus, AirLink, leaf-and-soil stations, and other Davis sensor systems that appear in WeatherLink. A WeatherLink Console, WeatherLink Live, WeatherLinkIP, Vantage Connect, or EnviroMonitor gateway can provide the connection to WeatherLink Cloud. See Davis Instruments weather stations.
Before you begin
Confirm that the station appears in WeatherLink and has uploaded a recent observation. Historical access can depend on the WeatherLink subscription associated with the station.
Create the connection
- Sign in to WeatherLink.
- Open Developers > API Keys.
- Copy API Key v2 and API Secret.
- In Weather Fusion, choose Davis WeatherLink.
- Enter the API key and secret exactly as shown by WeatherLink.
- Choose Test Connection.
- Select the station, then choose Done.
Weather Fusion stores the selected station and begins loading real-time data. Accounts with real-time-only WeatherLink access continue to provide current conditions. Historical downloads begin when the account includes historical access.
If the test fails, create or copy the API v2 credentials again. The setup fields require API Key v2 and API Secret.
Display the WeatherLink demo station
Turn on Display Demo Station in the WeatherLink connection settings to include WeatherLink’s sample station in the returned station list. This sample belongs to the WeatherLink connection and is separate from Weather Fusion’s app-wide Demo Mode.
