Data Management
Compare the data maintenance and backup actions available for downloaded observations, summaries, and station .wfdb packages.
Open it from the following places:
- On iPhone and iPad, open Settings > Data to open Weather Station Data. Compact layouts also provide it from the Station tab, while regular-width iPad layouts provide the Data Inspector.
- On macOS, choose Data > Download Older Observations, Data > Download Missing Observations, or Data > Recalculate Summaries. Open Settings > Backup and Restore to create or restore
.wfdbbackups.
Available actions

| Download Missing Observations | Known gaps or missing rows need repair | Weather Fusion fetches missing observations when the provider supports them |
| Recalculate Summaries | Day, month, or year summaries look out of sync | Weather Fusion rebuilds summary values from stored observations |
| Backup and Restore / Back Up… / Restore Backup… | A .wfdb copy is needed or data must be restored | Weather Fusion creates a station backup or merges rows from an existing backup |

Inspect .wfdb package contents on macOS
A .wfdb file is a macOS package. In Finder, Control-click or right-click the file, then choose Show Package Contents to view its contents.
The main data file inside the package is store.sqlite, a SQLite database that stores the station data exported by Weather Fusion.
