Fix a provider connection
Fix a provider connection
Use these checks when Weather Fusion reports missing or invalid credentials, provider access fails, or an account returns an empty station list.
- Open Settings › Data Source and confirm the intended provider is selected.
- Complete every required credential field or repeat the account authorization flow.
- Choose Test Connection when it is available, then choose Done.
Replace rejected API credentials
If the station is visible in the provider account but Weather Fusion still rejects the saved credentials, create a replacement credential in the provider account, replace the corresponding value in Weather Fusion, then test the connection again.
| Provider | Credentials to replace |
|---|---|
| Davis WeatherLink | API Key v2 and API Secret |
| Ecowitt | Application Key and API Key |
| Ambient Weather | API Key |
| AcuRite or Weather Underground | Weather Underground API Key |
| Windy | The API key shown for the station |
| Tempest with a Personal Access Token | Personal Access Token |
Replace every value in a credential pair, even if only one value appears to have failed. For Windy, copy the current station key again and replace it if Windy has issued a different value.
Netatmo and the standard Tempest sign-in use account authorization instead of API keys. Choose Sign in again and authorize Weather Fusion again. WiFiLogger does not use provider credentials; scan the network again or correct its Endpoint URL.
Refresh missing or outdated stations
- On iPhone and iPad, open the station list and pull down to refresh it.
- On Mac, choose Data › Refresh Stations.
- In Settings › Data Source, use the refresh button beside Station to refresh the selected connection service directly.
After the refresh finishes, select the station again when needed. If the list remains empty, confirm that the station is active in the provider account and that the account or subscription tier includes station access.
For a timeout or unreachable-provider message, check internet access and any VPN or firewall restrictions. For WiFiLogger, also confirm Local Network permission, verify the endpoint or IP address, and keep the device running Weather Fusion on the same network as the logger.
Use the matching page under Connect your weather station for the exact replacement steps.
