Connect WiFiLogger
Connect WiFiLogger
Use WiFiLogger to connect a compatible Davis Vantage Vue or Vantage Pro2 console directly over the local network.
Davis stations uploading to WeatherLink Cloud use Davis WeatherLink. See Davis Instruments weather stations and connection paths.
Before you begin
- Confirm that WiFiLogger is running and connected to the same network as the iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Allow Local Network access when the system asks.
- Keep the WiFiLogger address from Setup › Network Info available for manual entry.
Find the logger
- Open the WiFiLogger setup screen in Weather Fusion:
- For the first station, select WiFiLogger on Connect to a Weather Station, then choose Continue.
- If Weather Fusion is already set up, open Settings › Data Source, open the Provider menu, then choose WiFiLogger.
- Allow Local Network access if the system asks. Weather Fusion scans for the logger automatically.
- If no endpoint appears, choose Scan Network or enter the Endpoint URL shown in Setup › Network Info on WiFiLogger.
- Choose Done.
Weather Fusion polls WiFiLogger while it is reachable on the local network. Historical downloads use the archive exposed by the logger and can take longer than a real-time refresh.
If discovery fails, confirm that both devices are on the same non-guest network, disable VPN routing temporarily, and verify that Local Network access remains enabled for Weather Fusion in system settings.
