Connect Ambient Weather

Use Ambient Weather for a station registered with AmbientWeather.net. Setup requires the account’s API Key.

Before you begin

Confirm that AmbientWeather.net shows the station and a recent observation.

Connect Ambient Weather

1. Open the Ambient Weather setup screen in Weather Fusion:
   • For the first station, select Ambient Weather on Connect to a Weather Station, then choose Continue.
   • If Weather Fusion is already set up, open Settings › Data Source, open the Provider menu, then choose Ambient Weather.
2. Choose Obtain API Key. AmbientWeather.net opens while the Weather Fusion setup screen remains available.
3. Sign in to AmbientWeather.net, then open Account › API Keys.
4. Create or copy the API Key.
5. Return to Weather Fusion and enter the key.
6. Choose Test Connection, then choose Done.

Weather Fusion adds the account’s available stations, selects the first station, and starts with recent data. It can continue downloading older history in provider-sized batches. Sensor-status and station metadata depend on the information returned for the selected Ambient Weather device.

If the connection fails

Remove any spaces copied before or after the key and try again. If the connection still fails, generate a new API Key in AmbientWeather.net, replace the saved key in Weather Fusion, then choose Test Connection and Done again.
