Configuration

Each widget configuration includes:

  • a visible Weather Fusion station;
  • a measurement preset: Essentials, Temperature & Humidity, Wind & Rain, or Air Quality;
  • the system widget family selected when the widget was added.

A new widget starts with the station selected in Weather Fusion and the Essentials preset. The widget saves that station as its own choice, so selecting another station in the app, reordering stations, or renaming a station does not change it. Each widget keeps its own station and preset.

Preset choices are resolved against the station’s mirrored metric catalog. Each preset selects available values from that station, and smaller families show fewer measurements than larger families. Wind and gust direction can accompany the corresponding speed measurement in one slot.

Exact choices include numeric values and timestamps. Real Time Details can present compatible event times, while gauge-oriented Real Time choices focus on current numeric readings. Descriptive text payloads are presented in Observations and detailed observation surfaces.

The exact choices can include current temperature and comfort metrics, humidity, rain windows, wind, pressure, solar and UV, lightning, air quality, indoor conditions, and supported extra sensor channels. See Supported measurements for the broader normalized catalog.

Data and refresh behavior

Widgets read a privacy-bounded mirror maintained by Weather Fusion and can perform supported direct refresh work. Widget values can therefore lag briefly behind an open app during provider, system, or network delays. The displayed observation age indicates freshness.

Tapping a valid widget opens Weather Fusion for its configured station. If that station was hidden or removed, the widget does not switch to another station, and Weather Fusion opens station management so the configuration can be repaired.

Use Edit Widget to change the station or preset. Open the app after changing station, sensor, or provider configuration so the widget mirror can be updated.
