Connect Davis WeatherLink
Connect Davis WeatherLink
Use Davis WeatherLink for a Davis station that uploads observations to WeatherLink Cloud. Setup requires the station’s API Key v2 and API Secret.
See Davis Instruments weather stations for compatible station hardware and WeatherLink connection devices.
Before you begin
Confirm that the station appears in WeatherLink and has uploaded a recent observation. Historical access can depend on the WeatherLink subscription associated with the station.
Connect WeatherLink
- Open the WeatherLink setup screen in Weather Fusion:
- For the first station, select Davis WeatherLink on Connect to a Weather Station, then choose Continue.
- If Weather Fusion is already set up, open Settings › Data Source, open the Provider menu, then choose Davis WeatherLink.
- Choose Obtain API Key v2. WeatherLink opens while the Weather Fusion setup screen remains available.
- Sign in to WeatherLink, then open Developers › API Keys.
- Create or copy API Key v2 and API Secret.
- Return to Weather Fusion and enter both values exactly as shown by WeatherLink.
- Choose Done.
Weather Fusion checks the credentials, adds the account’s available stations, selects the first station, and begins loading real-time data. Accounts with real-time-only WeatherLink access continue to provide current conditions. Historical downloads begin when the account includes historical access.
If the connection fails
Confirm that both values are API v2 credentials from the same WeatherLink account. If the connection still fails, create a new API Key v2 and API Secret, replace both values in Weather Fusion, then choose Done again.
Display the WeatherLink demo station
Turn on Display Demo Station in the WeatherLink connection settings to include WeatherLink’s sample station in the returned station list. This sample belongs to the WeatherLink connection and is separate from Weather Fusion’s app-wide Demo Mode.
